After doing extensive research on escooters, my son bought the X4. Our whole family ended up loving it, so we bought a second one. We’ve put about 600 miles on each of them in 5 months, with no issues. They handle well and the battery efficiency is excellent, under 20wh per mile. We ended up ordering a seat and NANROBOT’s customer service is excellent. They responded to all of my questions quickly and followed through to make sure I was happy. I see us enjoying these scooters for a long time.

Bought the scooter in December of 2019. Works beautifully. I had a brief issue with it recently(a cable had come undone and I didn't know how to fix it) , and was super worried because the warranty was up two months prior. Contacted customer support and they walked me through the process of fixing it, even going as far as to send photos!
I was worried before I bought this, as I've had poor experiences in the past, but this was a wonderful buy, especially for the price.

I am 62 years old. I just made my commute make me feel like a kid again. 35lbs don’t seem heavy but I am sure glad I didn’t go for the next model as it’s twice the weight. The folding mechanism is great. Folding and carrying into my workplace is important to me as we can’t wheel them into the building. I can see myself maybe getting a shoulder strap to clip onto that rear fender bracket. It feels like a quality machine. Nothing flimsy about it. Yes I had to tighten some screws but no issues. Everything came in tact. I spent the weekend getting use to it. It’s not my vette but it’s a lot of fun. Went for two 3 mile round trips, one to the bike store for a lock. I also bought a good helmet with a light in the back, a light for the handle bar and a nice back back I fasten around the handle bars and pole in the front.
From purchase to hitting the doorstep took 2 full weeks. Apparently Covid is wreaking havoc on Fedex. For some reason I thought the delivery would be air. Especially when they say expedited shipping. But it was trucked in from California. I don’t know how many emails I sent over the two weeks. To there customer support credit, they remained Courteous , and also returned all my emails, and I feel the quality of the build was well worth the crappy shipping. What do do expect for nothing?

I'll be honest, this thing is a monster, i love it, it rides smooth on road. It handles well, weighs more than i expected and even though i can travel quite some distance i do recommend a better battery. But honestly this is a top spec scooter.

Its sturdy, fast and easy to ride. I would recommend two things. 1. Don't try to swat bugs while riding. And 2. Invest in a full face helmet. This isnt a toy. This scooter is a bona fide and reliable mode of high speed transportation. I love it!

Overall I would say it is a quality scooter and well worth $600. As others have said the max speed and speedometer are definitely not accurate. Max is 18-19 (MPH) vs 21-23 on speedo. 18-19 MPH feels plenty fast and I'm not sure I would want to go much faster on this particular scooter... read on. Brakes are probably the most limiting factor, have to plan ahead for stops because the breaks are NOT good. Always nerve racking trying to slow this thing down quickly (please address this). Acceleration is great, and almost too jarring and changing from P1,2,3 does not really reduce acceleration (kind of wish it did). Mostly applicable for those with kids as you do get used to it and much better than the alternative! In other words I'll take the trade off, rather than have slow acceleration. A rear shock would be great too, you can really feel the road and I wouldn't use this thing as a daily commuter as a result (unless fewer than 3 miles). Also, don't bother on dirt or off the beaten path for longer than a few moments as this will not conquer trails! That said, this thing is lots of fun and for $600 is much more than a toy and most will be really happy with the trade-offs given the price and don't want to spend $1000!

L'unico difetto che purtroppo riscontro è che molto spesso mentre lo uso la potenza si stacca del tutto e devo rilasciare l'acceleratore e riaccelerare per farlo riprendere. Onestamente è un molto fastidioso e credo che sia un difetto solo del mio....che peccato! Se dovessi prenderne un altro lo sceglierei con l'ammortizzatore anche sulla ruota posteriore per aumentare in confort di guida. Ciao.

If you think this scooter can go faster than 20 mph, then I suggest you first calibrate your speedometer with a GPS app. My speedometer was giving me much higher speed than it actually was, when the tire size was set to 8 inches. Only by changing the tire size to 5 inches was I able to get reasonable agreement with the GPS app. My results (for 5-inch tire size) were: Maximum speed (for freshly charged battery with voltage = 54.1) was 19 mph according to GPS and 20 mph according to scooter. This test was done on a straight, level, asphalt road in calm wind, with rider weight of 145 lbs and rider in standing position. Also, the gear was set to 3 and P8 was set to 100 (full power) for the test. Nevertheless, this is a well-built scooter.

Have had my x4, for about a year, now. I AM an experienced scooter rider, and not just the rental ones. I also own a D5 and a D4.
If you want to take a next step UP from a rental scooter the x4 is VERY good! But! The x6 offers a HUGE improvement in suspension AND (LOOK)!!!!! A battery that will improve your RANGE DRAMICALLY!

It's a great product lots of fun. I have had the X4 for a month now and over 100 miles. Very sturdy. The headlight and tail light make riding at night awesome. Back wheel is solid so it's bumpy on rough roads.

The scooter is very sleek and attractive. The first time I rode the nanrobot, it was a very fast and I had to get used to the speed. It handles very well. Although the brakes aren’t as sharp as when you first use it. Over time you would have to squeeze with more pressure to get a quicker stop. But overall it it a very good scooter one of the best in my opinion.

This is a great quality device, really well built, space saver and quite portable. Ready from start.
It's definitely powerful (so be careful, not to stay in the back or it will do a wheelie) and climbs everywhere, and has no troubles with pavé (tested in both Italy and France) and holes (unless you move your weight to the front in such case).
However, the single brake is a bit unsafe, given that the this can speed-up to up 37-38km/h, and especially when wet, the back break isn't enough to stop it quickly in trafic.
Now, the main issue for me: most European countries are following an EU directive that imposes scooters to have a limited speed of 25km/h (or 20 in others) not to be considered L1e and so need a license plate, helmet and such, and while it's possible to reduce the power of the X4 via the custom menu, there's no way to lock it to a maximum speed (in fact it's fine to be up to 500W, and it's actually needed to climb, but no way to make it never go faster than that).
Also, this scooter doesn't come with any CE label, the only CE certification that nanrobot provides is for the directive 2014/30/EU (that only covers the electronic side) and not the required 2006/42/CE (that marks a device a valid transportation mean).
So once the Police stopped me and said that it should be certified as a motorcycle.
So, I loved this, but in Europe it could be used only with a proper certification while the lack of a front break could be a problem (and maybe suspension, but that isn't too important).

Nanrobot as a company needs to get there act together. Why are you sending a user manual for D4/5 to people buying the Nanrobot X4 2.0? So many mistakes in the computer instructions. And the speedometer is way off. I have to set the tire size to 4 to get it anywhere close. Get your act together ! good scooter tho

Scooter arrived before promised. Great quality, already put together, only had two tighten down a few screws. Has awesome take off an uphill climb. The only downside is it seems as if the screws that hold the top of the board down to on the battery or a little cheesy. I strip two of them trying to loosen and take off. So I had to buy a grab it and replacement screws to fix. Other than that overall very satisfied with the purchase. I'll most likely be buying the next model up just to have a faster scooter. Last other little downside speedometer is a little bit off it says I go 38 mph, but actual speed is only about 23 mph.

I love it but I wish I had rear shocks. My front shocks are great but the back tire feels every bump. I wish there was a rear shock on my scooter. Is there any way I can pay to have a rear shock added????

Months after having purchased an X4, (and, later a D3), I was perusing the NanRobot website, for, perhaps ANOTHER scooter from them... and I checked out the old model X4 reviews. (JERKY) was the thing that I noticed most among complaints. This is TORQUE! U should NOT equate this scooter with rental ones! This, along with the other D3 that I bought are hands-down twice the scooter that u can rent! Now, being 65 years young, I will say that a more comfortable, longer and faster ride is the D3, which doesn’t get ANY credit. It’s a little heavier but is SO MUCH MORE the scooter than u can imagine, if u are a first-time buyer, and, older like me, forgo the new version of the X4, and get a D3, for about $300.00 more. It comes with a seat, which MAY be worth the convenience to u, but I took mine off. Feel better about balance, and is a lot lighter carrying up and down stairs, dontcha know

I’m 65 years old, first of all, and very cynical. Secondly, this is not my first review. Gave the product five stars upon receiving the scooter! NOW, let’s get to after-sales service! My X4 is the 500 watt version, and TWICE the scooter that you will rent. Was going down a slight downhill grade, turned right onto a STEEPER grade at about 5 mph, headed home after work. When I turned onto the steeper grade, I “punched” it, and it wheelied, throwing me off and damaging the end of the rear fender. Picked up the tail-light lense, and went home. Next day, I ordered a fender (a nice lady called me to make sure which version I had), and within 10 days had a new (correct) fender for $12.00. Not bad. Got to thinking about “what if I have a flat, or some a-hole slashes my tire”? I’m without my scooter for the better of 2 weeks. SO, I ordered a new tire AND tube. Now the scooter comes with a tool kit, but it doesn’t have a ratchet or extension that you need to get to the bolts. OK, so I’m out the cost of a ratchet, extension, and socket to change my flat. Well, the cost for tire and tube was $40.00. GOT ME, right? WRONG! The tire/tube kit came mounted and aired up ON A NEW WHEEL, complete with new bearings! Now considering what I would be out buying extra tools, my time going to BUY these tools, the trouble of removing and re-installing tire/and tube, believe me $40.00 is a GREAT deal. Bottom line, I love NanRobot !

Before purchasing the x4 I must have looked at 20+ scooters of all varying designs before finally purchasing from Nanrobot. My experience from start to finish was great! For being half way around the world the communication throughout the whole process was impressive. Whoever I was speaking with dealt with all the questions I asked before purchasing and while being delivered and also after receiving. Felt like I mad a new friend! After having the x4 for a couple of weeks now, I’m glad I went for it. The price and specs were hard to find and it beat. Light enough to carry around in my trunk so I can ride whenever I feel urge. Acceleration and speed are perfect for my needs and feels comfortable and safe. Riding at night is made easier with front headlight that allows you to see enough in front of you and then added rear brake light makes sure you are visible from behind as well. I have taken the scooter for rides everyday since I received it and enjoy it every time!

Awesome scooter. Great power even up slight hills. Fast up to 22 mph and you can go 25-30 miles on one full charge. Folds easily for east transport. Charging takes less than 6 hours. Customer service is great. I told them my lever was cracked and they replaced it without hesitation and the new part arrived in two weeks. It’s so fun to ride the paved trails. I rode 1 hour straight with no issues.

Friend and I bought the X4. Setup out of the box was simple. Had to adjust a the gauges. Just drove it last night and it’s fast and fun to drive. Acceleration is good so you may get an initial jerk when squeezing the trigger. Braking is good. Charging takes 4 hours.

Not properly manufactured in that one of the flip up handlebars does not work properly. Had to take it apart to get the handlebar to extend outward. Now it won't go down without disassembling again. The metal is not cut accurately. In addition the initial acceleration is very jerky. There's no smoothness to the initial acceleration. When you push the accelerator nothing happens and then suddenly the unit lurches forward and it's hard to keep your balance. The manufacturer needs to fix the handlebar on my unit. Or send me a free seat.

When I ordered my Nanrobot X4 I was a bit apprehensive because this is the first purchase I’ve made on a product such as this . Any question I had customer support had an answer . I got the scooter expecting it to not meet expectations I was expecting a lower quality model of a Nanrobot scooter but what I got was anything but . What I got was a high quality e scooter that I can take pretty much anywhere and can stay with traffic in most suburban areas top speed was listed as anywhere from 18-22 mph but I got it up to 25-27 mph on flat ground and maxed out Down hill at 31 mph . Visible at night too the led lights are no joke . Only thing I would change is a rear light that stays on and is not just a brake light . But maybe you can change that . I don’t know turn signals would also be nice but these are two things that could be improved everything else surpassed expectations . Amazing e scooter a lot of fun to drive around and a great deal . Thanks Nanrobot . And definitely not a toy

Amazing. Working smooth even under my 230 lbs, Once I reached 43 km/h . Easy to control, fold. It takes you back to childhood , refreshing to ride. I felt in love for the first time, I also bought an other one already. One bad thing I need to mention, the back red light didn't worked. The customer service team are great, they have already sent the replacement light. It's just a little thing you can maybe make sure the scooter working 100% fine before you post it. But as I said this is the best high quality electric scooter. ✌

I purchased my scooter "D4+ 10"-2000W-52V 23A" one month ago.
I'm very satisfied with the product, I'm using it every day for commuting to my work and If I have to go somewhere too.
It's a very fast scooter, easy to ride, maneuverable, I feel secure on it.
If I have to say something to improve, I will say to create a handle or strap to carry it easily (Sometimes I have to carry it and it's heavy), and a better user manual (not really understandable), I'm worried about if something wrong is happening to my scooter how I can change the spare parts myself..
Except for this two points, it's a really good product and I will highly recommend it to you.

This scooter is FANTASTIC for the price! Much better than what you would get for other "main" brands for similar or more expensive scooters. The wide handle bars give a lot of stability when riding, and there is enough room to stand on the board comfortably. This gets me to work and back easily on a full charge (20km round trip) with some to spare. I'm 86kg, and it accelerates well. 35km/h sounds slow, but when you're on it, it feels fast! It handles corners really well, you can go pretty fast through most street/path corners and bends.
You can adjust the speed settings from slow/med/fast which is great, and I've turned on cruise control which makes the 10km journey to work easy. Brakes are good, but not amazing. I have to ease off early to make sure I stop in time, but it's not really a problem.
I'm already thinking that I'll try and sell this in a few months and upgrade to the D4+ or D5+ for more range on the battery.
What I was most impressed with is the customer service from Nanrobot. I asked many questions before purchasing and the reply was AWLAYS fast. I also had to change my order and the team at Nanrobot were so great with it. Delivery to Australia was less than a week. I ordered on Friday night, and it was delivered to my door the 5 days later!
